About the Role
The Staff Tax Accountant will play a key role in the accounting team with responsibilities including U.S. and Canada tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial report review and evaluation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepares month-end reports and assists with month-end close processes.
- Prepares general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepares the work papers, supporting schedules and returns for required sales tax and VAT tax returns.
- Assists in responding to enquiries from tax authorities including assisting with protests and appeals.
Qualifications
What You'll Need for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field or years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong PC skills - Accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word are required.
- 0-3 years related public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
- The successful candidate will have a professional, positive attitude and guide by example.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
